Tragic Accidents in Balochistan Claim 12 Lives

Twelve people lost their lives, and 19 others were injured in three separate road accidents across Balochistan on Tuesday. The incidents highlight ongoing concerns about road safety in the region.

Major Accidents Reported

Fatal Collision in Washuk

The deadliest accident occurred in the Nag area of Washuk, where a vehicle transporting Iranian petrol collided head-on with another vehicle. Both vehicles erupted in flames, tragically resulting in the deaths of five people who were unable to escape. The assistant commissioner of Washuk stated, “All five people present inside the two vehicles burned to death,” noting that the bodies were beyond recognition.

Sibi Highway Tragedy

In another incident on the Quetta-Sibi highway, a van traveling to Jacobabad collided with a truck near Mithri. This crash claimed five lives and left 13 others injured, with two in serious condition. Levies officials attributed the accident to overspeeding by both vehicles. Emergency responders transported the victims to Sibi District Hospital.

Wedding Party Overturns in Noshki

A third accident occurred in the Daak area of Noshki, where a vehicle carrying a wedding party overturned, resulting in two deaths, including a woman, and six additional injuries.
